Lazzo is a music and video producer, engineer, and songwriter specializing in the rock, electronic, dance, and pop genres. He has produced singles, EPs, and LPs for numerous artists and done remixes for Rites of Ash, Great Good Fine OK, and Grammy Award-winning and Platinum recording artist LeAnn Rimes. He has had his music featured on numerous MTV shows, FUSE, MTV2, MTVu, and the Aeropostale® PS Mobile Application. Lazzo is a founding member and producer of the Washington DC hard electronic rock band, Rites of Ash, where he played guitar and keyboards. His synth pop band, Blue Skies and Death, have released two EPs, Rearrange and A Way Back Home, along with several singles and music videos. Their single Parallel Lines has been featured on several official Spotify playlists: Discovery Weekly, Release Radar, and Indie Electronics!
He has produced several internet/streaming radio shows, including: The Screening Room Express Radio Show, Sub Pop Radio, Fedde Le Grand Radio, Kill Rock Stars Radio, and RVRB on TuneIn.
Lazzo taught Master Classes at the Los Angeles and Brooklyn Grammy® Camps, music production at Apple (Los Angeles), songwriting and production workshops at The School of Music (Annapolis, MD), a judge/mentor at WPGC 95.5FM’s ‘The Opportunity’ (Washington DC), and a judge for the 2022-2024 MusicianShip Wammie Awards.
Lazzo’s music has been nominated for several WAMA and The MusicianShip Wammie Awards including Producer of the Year, Best Rock Album, and his win for Best Electronica Recording. His work with Wim Tapley (The Woodlands) was nominated for a Wammie award for Best Folk Album. Recent mixing and mastering work with Wim led to him landing placements on official Spotify playlists Fresh Finds Folk and Fresh Finds Pop, with a #1 spot and photo feature for ‘Mary’ off his new album, Red Door.
Lazzo has produced videos for many artists, including Grammy-Winning artist Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Grammy-Nominated artist Arun Shenoy, and Emmy Award-Winning voiceover Actor Daniel Ross. He owns and operates the video production company, Annaken Media, and the recording studio, Feedback Studios.
He is a voting member of the DC Chapter of the Recording Academy (Grammys) and a writer and publisher member of ASCAP.
